On Friday & Saturday (
March 17-18th), the
Society of Mary (the Sisters and the Postulants) will be coming down to Corvallis for a
Women's Heroic Night! This night will begin at
7pm at John Henry. It will consist of time of community with each other, a simple dinner together, and a short spiritual preparation talk by one of the Sisters before we jump into the Heroic Night!
You may ask, "what is a Heroic Night?" It is a time of Adoration during the night where you get to pray, intercede, and adore the Lord for a one hour slot! You can choose any time from the beginning of the night, to 3am, to early in the morning!
For the Heroic Night, we will all open Adoration together in the Newman Center Chapel, then we will take slots throughout the night to Adore the Lord. In the morning, we will end Adoration together and will go to 8am Mass at St. Mary's and then come back to John Henry for breakfast and a time of sharing!
We will be staying the night at John Henry, so please bring a sleeping bag (and sleeping pad if you want) and a pillow! Also bring any materials for prayer that you would like (a Bible and spiritual journal).
