To avoid congestion on the south side of the Straz Center when you leave your event, we recommend arranging your pick up on the north side of the Center at or near the building (on either side of Fortune Street). Lyft or Uber is perfect for guests who want to avoid parking issues or enjoy an adult beverage or two at the show.

Dine at a restaurant on the river and take the Pirate Water Taxi to the The Straz. The Pirate Water Taxi stops seven days a week at fixed locations along the Tampa Riverwalk, Davis Islands and Harbour Island, including Stop 14 in front of the Straz Center. On weekdays, we recommend arriving after 6 p.m. Parking is available any time on Saturday and Sunday. The Royal Regional Lot is a 0.3-mile (6-minute) walk to the Straz Center. We recommend this garage for an option that avoids the congestion immediately surrounding the Straz Center. The garage is only a short, 6-minute walk to the Straz Center along the beautiful Tampa Riverwalk or along Ashley Drive (access from the garage to the Riverwalk may be unavailable during major Curtis Hixon Park events). The Poe Garage is now using a new payment system to facilitate guest entry and exit. Instead of pulling a ticket, guests must use one of the garage pay stations to enter their license plate number and pay the parking fee prior to attending their event. Cameras will recognize the license plate number and automatically raise the gate upon exit. Please read the new signage and follow all directions at the pay stations to avoid getting a citation. This lot is open to the public all day and evening Monday-Sunday.  Pay with the ParkMobile app or 717 Parking app to avoid lines at the pay stations (Zone 4507).

The Straz Center Arrival Plaza (located at the end of Tyler Street)

Valet parking is in the Arrival Plaza, accessible via Tyler Street, and includes a limited number of disabled spaces and Premier parking. Regular valet parking rates are $30 on-site and off-site and $25 for disabled parking. Cash and credit cards accepted. All valet parking other than Premier parking is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Special pricing may be in effect for special events or holidays.

When full valet service is not available, self-parking for events will be $25.00 per vehicle.

DISABLED PARKING
In addition to our discounted disabled valet rate in the Arrival Plaza, disabled individuals who properly display a disabled parking permit may park in on-street metered spaces for up to four hours free of charge. These individuals do not need to use a pay station or otherwise activate a parking session to receive the free hours.

Street parking, using parking Pay Stations or the Parkmobile App (www.parkmobile.com), is available near the Straz Center on Fortune Street (in front of the Barrymore Hotel), Doyle Carlton Street (from Fortune Street to W. Laurel Street), Tyler Street (bordering the library), Ashley Drive and near Water Works Park.  4-hour free parking spaces are available on the north side of The Straz on Doyle Carlton between Waterworks Park and Laurel. In addition, all on-street spaces north of Kennedy Blvd. are free from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Sundays.

There are approximately 500-600 parking spaces available and the garage is roughly a 15-minute walk to the Straz Center. You can walk north on Ashley Drive or take a more leisurely stroll on the Riverwalk to the Straz Center.
