Hello Everyone!
Memorial Day Weekend greetings to you all. Thank you to all the men and women who are serving in our military every day as well as the veterans who have served before, and especially those who sacrificed all for our freedoms. We are deeply grateful.
This past Sunday we looked at three points that helped Joseph through all the pits he experienced:
- God is always good
- God is always sovereign
- God does not cause evil, but He does permit it

THIS SUNDAY - We continue looking at Joseph's life and the time has come for Joseph to finally interact with the brothers that put him in the pit and sold him into slavery. Although Joseph feels a desire for vengeance, he ultimately shows his brothers mercy and grace. Most of us have been wronged by someone in our lives - and it hurts the most when it is done by someone close to you. This week we look at the relationships with our own families and how if God can heal a family like Joseph's he can heal our relationships as well.

Hey! Have you noticed the reading plans that have been on our outlines for this series? There is a short passage of scripture for each day that compliments what we are covering each week in the message. It only takes a few minutes to do.
Sharing in the joys and challenges of life with other people who care for us leads to a rich experience in our journey with God. We get to practice what God is teaching us with others who will listen, challenge, and nurture us. We get to practice new skills, use our talents and gifts, and serve people in our community with others who we know and trust. Life groups are great ways to connect with others in the church as well as a way to create a comfortable environment for you to invite friends who may not be comfortable yet with showing up on a Sunday morning. Do you have an idea for a Life Group? It all starts with PASSION! What gets you excited and what do you enjoy doing? Whatever it is, it's usually even more enjoyable when it is done with others. Men's Cookout - Monday, June 3rd
Don Cramer will be hosting a men's cookout at his home Monday, June 3rd at 6 pm. We will also be talking about what future men's events we want to pull together or participate in. Don's home is located at 51 Killingworth Tpke (Rt 81) in Clinton. All men are welcome and bringing a guest is encouraged! For more information, please see Don Cramer.

Gisele will be running a class at the Community Center that will focus on Low-Impact cardio movement with strengthening and toning exercises using hand weights, bands, body bars, rings, mats, and more - which will all be provided! All the music will be Christ-centered too!

THRIVE - Youth Ministry
Thrive is a group for junior and senior high students. An atmosphere where literally anybody and everybody can come and feel included, loved, and heard. The focus is on helping young people learn how to connect with Jesus in a deeper and more personal way. They regularly tackle some very tough topics that are current in our world today.
THRIVE meets every Wednesday at the Parish Center located in Village Walk, in Guilford. 6:30 - 8:30. For more information contact JJ Secki at 203.645.4054.

The name is derived from Revelation 5:8, describing heavenly creatures which each had harps and held golden bowls full of incense (which are the prayers of the saints.) Harp and bowl, soaking Praise and Prayer in an intimate setting, finding rest for your soul. Oasis meets directly across from where we have Sunday morning service. A Shoreline Night of Prayer

Just as we are stronger believers when we are part of a fellowship, churches are stronger when they too move along together in unity. Psalm 133 sings of the power and joy of ALL God's people getting along in fellowship.
On June 9th, SVC along with Living Rock and Christ Chapel will be sponsoring a Shoreline Night of Prayer. All the area churches are welcome as wel come together at that time to lift up our Nation, the Shoreline, and all the churches in the area in prayer. Please consider joining us June 9th at 6 pm at Christ Chapel in Madison.
