Hi Everyone!
It feels like it has been forever since we last got together! We finally get the chance this Sunday morning again down at Jacob's Beach in Guilford. The weather forecast is for a BEAUTIFUL DAY - 75 degrees and sunny! The beach is located at 140 Seaside Avenue in Guilford and you can get directions by clicking HERE.
The service will start at 10 am. When you arrive, let the person checking for parking permits know that you are here for the reserved church event in the pavillions. There should be no charge for entry. Enter in and toward your left and you will see two pavilions. That is where we are meeting.
Just as last time, we want to meet together carefully. Here are some guidelines and what to expect:
- The service starts at 10 am. 30 minutes earlier than usual. We would like to take advantage of the cooler temperature of the morning and before the sun starts beating too hard.
- Please bring a mask. Wearing a mask is not for you. It is a gesture of love for everyone else and is more for their protection than your own.
- Please refrain from hugging, handshaking, and kissing.
- Please keep a distance of 6 ft between your family and other individuals or family units.
- Feel free to bring your own seats and spread out onto the grass areas around the pavilions for more space. The weather should be beautiful and not too hot, so it should be nice to sit in the sun.
- We will be sharing communion at this service. The elements are sealed in an individual disposable cup and will be available to you at the beginning of the service. A disinfecting alcohol spray will also be on hand if you would like to spray the packaging before you take it.
- The music and speaking will be broadcast on a low power radio transmitter on FM 93.9. If you would like to stay in your car you can pull directly in front of the left pavilion (closest to the road) and listen to the service on your car radio. We will be reserving these spaces for those who wish to stay in their car.
- We do not expect to air Sunday's service live on Facebook.
COVID-19 and Coronavirus are still extremely contagious, but everyone is not in agreement about how much of a threat still exists. We are taking the most cautious approach and have chosen to embrace the government's instruction and guidelines. I am asking that you please follow these guidelines above in order to act in love toward those that may be at higher risk or are very serious about following safe socializing protocols. This is another opportunity to give the community an inside look at our fellowship. Last time we presented ourselves well and I was so proud of our church! Large gatherings still bring attention from those who may be curious about what we are doing - and HOW we are doing it. So, it is important that we are showing that we care for the community by following these safe gathering practices.
As promised, I will also be scheduling an online meeting to discuss how we will proceed into the fall months. More information on that will follow Sunday and next week.

We have three options for receiving your tithes and offering.
ONLINE - This is the easiest of options and is done through our website HERE. Alternately if you use online banking to make direct transfers, we can supply you with our routing number and account number. Please contact Chris or Bryan for that information if you need it.

IN-PERSON - Finally, if you want to deliver it in person, the best way is to come to my house at 1930 Durham Rd in Guilford. Please, if you are giving cash make sure it is in an envelope and make sure I am home to receive it. We will sign the outside of the envelope together with the amount noted and I will get it to Bryan.
