Teaching Opportunity
Sacred Heart Catholic School (Danville, VA) seeks a motivated and enthusiastic Middle School Math teacher to join our team in January 2021. The ideal candidate will hold a current Virginia Teacher License with an endorsement in Algebra. The candidate should have experience in differentiating instruction, be comfortable with technology, and familiar with the Google Classroom (or similar) Platform. Box Tops for Education
We are still taking Box Tops! Box Tops for Education has a new app for attaining Box Top points. You can also go to BTFE.COM. They are still accepting clipped Box Tops and will continue to do so until products no longer have them on the packages. Labels may be left in the church or school office. These labels provide the school with free educational supplies.

Help SHCS, Help You!
Would you like to direct your Virginia State Taxes to Sacred Heart Catholic School? You can through the Virginia Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credits program. Individuals or businesses making contributions of $500 or more can receive a Virginia TAX CREDIT equal to 65% of the donation. The monies are used for tuition assistance for students from families whose household income is less than 300% of the poverty level (for example, $72,900 for a family of 4), or 400% if the child is disabled. In addition, donors who itemize will also receive deductions for charitable contributions on state and federal taxes. Participants should consult their tax advisors to determine their specific tax savings. Individuals and businesses can receive substantial tax benefits by contributing through the EISTC program.
