Hello Everyone!
The only thing that Jesus ever established on earth that still remains is His church. He established it and meant it to be a force. He calls this church in Matthew 18, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out. And that's not all. You will have complete and free access to God's kingdom, keys to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven.
That's the church Jesus established. That's the church we are! We aren't some limp, frail, powerless, sideshow that should be stuck in a corner keeping quiet and not upsetting anyone. We are THE CHURCH! And we are all a part of it, empowered as ministers to each other. Agents of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Let's stand in the authority we have been given, and always show what we have is unique and worth having. Our love for one another is the testimony of our faith. If we can't love and take care of one another, how will those outside ever be attracted to God's family? Thank you all for being my family. Sharing in the joys and challenges of life with other people who care for us leads to a rich experience in our journey with God. We get to practice what God is teaching us with others who will listen, challenge, and nurture us. We get to practice new skills, use our talents and gifts, and serve people in our community with others who we know and trust. Life groups are great ways to connect with others in the church as well as a way to create a comfortable environment for you to invite friends who may not be comfortable yet with showing up on a Sunday morning. Great relationships make life better and richer! Check out one of our Life Groups for yourself and experience the difference relationships make.
We are now looking for Life Groups to kick off with new subjects! This is a great time to start a new group and dig into something you may have been wanting to study for some time.
Do you have an idea for a Life Group? It all starts with PASSION! What gets you excited and what do you enjoy doing? Whatever it is, it's usually even more enjoyable when it is done with others. Life Groups are all about getting together and building relationships. The groups don't need to center around a Bible or book study. For ideas or help, please contact Shadi.

Missions Opportunity - LOVE146
One of the missions that SVC supports monthly is Love146. The mission of Love146 is to end child sex trafficking and slavery - specifically in Connecticut. Love146 has its offices in New Haven and is requesting volunteers to help in the New Haven office. If you are interested in serving this ministry, please respond by clicking HERE.

Church Picnic and BAPTISM - July 21st

Stretch, Strength & Cardio Exercise Class
Gisele will be running a class at the Community Center that will focus on Low-Impact cardio movement with strengthening and toning exercises using hand weights, bands, body bars, rings, mats, and more - which will all be provided! All the music will be Christ-centered too!
When: Fridays, July 12 – August 16th, 2019
Time: 4:45 – 5:45pm
Where: Guilford Community Center Exercise Room, 2nd floor
Cost:$15 for the 6 classes

Every two years, Vineyard USA hosts a national conference that everyone is invited to. This year the conference will be held in two locations, the closer of which is Dayton Ohio.

God at Work
We've had some great testimonies of God at work in people's lives lately.
Mike had lost his job recently and was prayed for by a fellow brother. Mike now has a job at a large company and is on his way to restoring what he lost.
Ashley has been asking for prayer for her friend and her father. Praise the Lord, her friend is making a good recovery as is her father!
If you have something the Lord has done for you, we would love to share it with the church. Please let Pastor Chris know.

THRIVE - Youth Ministry
Thrive is a group for junior and senior high students. An atmosphere where literally anybody and everybody can come and feel included, loved, and heard. The focus is on helping young people learn how to connect with Jesus in a deeper and more personal way. They regularly tackle some very tough topics that are current in our world today.
THRIVE meets every Wednesday at the Parish Center located in Village Walk, in Guilford. 6:30 - 8:30. For more information contact JJ Secki at 203.645.4054.

The name is derived from Revelation 5:8, describing heavenly creatures which each had harps and held golden bowls full of incense (which are the prayers of the saints.) Harp and bowl, soaking Praise and Prayer in an intimate setting, finding rest for your soul. Oasis meets in the Leete room down the hall from where we have our Sunday morning service. At SVC we don't have a special time in the service set aside for collecting tithes and offerings. At a table located at the entrance door, you will find a small box with a cross cutout on the top. Please place your tithes and offerings in this box. There are now envelopes that will be alongside the box that will allow you to designate how you may like your gift applied, or for you to receive a giving statement for cash donations. Please feel free to add your name to your gift, or to designate it toward Tithes and offerings, Missions, or our new Building Fund.
Alternatively, if you prefer to make your contribution online, you can find a link to our PayPal on the website. There you can choose to make a one-time gift, or if it is more convenient you can set up a recurring gift. You can get to that page directly by clicking here.
