THANK YOU GINGER
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ginger Tamborello. Ginger passed away yesterday at 9:33 p.m. after losing her battle to cancer. Ginger dedicated 18 years to St. Theresa Catholic Church, in addition to nearly three decades at other churches in the Archdiocese. Her legacy of service to the church, love for the entire Body of Christ, and exemplary Catholic education inspired us all. We at St. Theresa were privileged that Ginger spent nearly two decades of her career here at our parish, forever changing the lives of those fortunate enough to meet her.
Ginger’s friends say that she was honest, faithful, caring, determined, loyal, and courageous…a lifetime of service by a woman described thus was truly a gift to our Parish and our Church.
Ginger could always see the potential of any “mustard seed” that God placed in her path. She knew the power of a smile, a kind word, a friendly welcome. She also knew the power of encouragement—sometimes more encouragement than others had bargained for!
"Ginger made all the difference in restoring the strength and confidence that I had lost when my husband passed away."
In the words of another close friend, “Ginger lived, expressed, and shared her Catholic faith to her friends, family, co-workers, and to those she evangelized. She was an excellent Catholic educator that embraced for others a Catholic vision of the world shaped by reflection, action, service, sacraments, and prayer.”
Ginger embodied the plea of St. Theresa of Avila when she wrote, “Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours.” To the women who shared their stories above, to countless children educated in the faith, to RCIA candidates accompanied throughout the years, to parishioners and coworkers and friends…Ginger lived the mission. She was the hands and feet of Christ to so many of God’s beloved children. She was truly life-giving to our parish and our world.
Thank you, Ginger. Thank you for showing Christ to so many over the years. “Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.“ Amen.
