September 8 9:05 A.M. CLASSES BEGIN
Parish Family Formation Mornings On Sundays, we will be hosting Parish Family Formation gatherings starting at 9:05 am. These weekly gatherings will include refreshments and a short catechesis session, followed by family small group time to reinforce the lesson. First Reconciliation/First Communion Program First Communion preparation will take place within the Family of Faith Program with additional opportunities for instruction and retreats throughout the year.
CRH Autumn Season 2019 Open to all baptized Catholics who have been away from the Sacraments. Catholics Returning Home (CRH) is a time-tested program that helps inactive Catholics reconnect with the Church and get a fresh start. Our Parish is co-sponsoring Autumn sessions starting Thursday September 5th at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Patrick Parish in Robertsdale. The weekly meetings last six weeks, are free, informal and there’s never any pressure to participate further. Our Lord asks each of us to do our part in re-planting the seeds of faith. CRH provides the water. We trust that God provides the growth. For more information and to pre-register, contact Lynn Rowe at (251) 947-4574 or lynndrowe@gmail.com, OR Deacon Charles at (251) 947-5054.
Kay Trattles, Mary's Shelter Director, will be at each Mass sharing information about how you can support women who have chosen life and their children by becoming a Guardian Angel.
Burse Club Sunday is September 8
The Burse Club was founded by Archbishop Toolen in 1953. The dues were set at $12.00 annually and have not been raised in 64 years. Membership is open to everyone! There are no meetings to attend; no committees to serve on; just your prayers for vocations and your financial support.
Please join the Priests Burse Club to help our seminarians studying for the priesthood.
Update on Fr. Carucci's Health
Over the last year, many of you have asked how to help Fr. Carucci. Please begin by continuing to pray for him. If you are willing to donate a kidney, YOU CAN HELP EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A MATCH FOR FATHER. UAB works with three different types of donors: deceased donors, live donors and donor pairs. If you would like more information regarding the living donor and paired donor processes, please visit www.uabmedicine.org/transplant/living-donor-program or call 888-822-7892.
