Consecration to St. Joseph
We will continue our 5 week consecration to St. Joseph on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm via Zoom. Once complete, we will have the consecration on Saturday, May 1st with a special mass on the feast day of St. Joseph the Worker. If you would like to join, please send an email to joyceb@sheartchurch.org to be included in the email list.
Easter Lillies

Following Christ will begin on Thursday, April 8th at 7:00 p.m.
Following Christ is the second part of the ChristLife evangelization process. This course guides people in how to live as a Catholic disciple of Jesus Christ in today’s world based on basic disciplines and truths that have been practiced by Christians from the time of the early Church. Easter and Spring Break
Happy Easter! The SHCS front office will be closing at 1pm Thursday, April 1st for Holy Thursday and will reopen Tuesday, April 6th. Students will be out for Spring Break from Friday, April 2nd until Monday, April 12th.

Teaching Opportunity-Media Specialist
Sacred Heart Catholic School (Danville, VA) seeks a motivated and enthusiastic part-time media specialist for student JK-8th grade to join our team in January 2021. The position involves planning and conducting weekly library lessons for students in grades JK-8th. managing the library inventory, overseeing student check-out, planning and running an annual book fair to assist with building the library’s resources, and fostering a love of reading through the implementation of incentive programs. The ideal candidate will hold a current Virginia Teacher License with an endorsement as a library media specialist. The candidate should have classroom experience, be comfortable with technology, and familiar with the Google Classroom (or similar) Platform. Box Tops for Education
We are still taking Box Tops! Box Tops for Education has a new app for attaining Box Top points. You can also go to BTFE.COM. They are still accepting clipped Box Tops and will continue to do so until products no longer have them on the packages. Labels may be left in the church or school office. These labels provide the school with free educational supplies.

Mass Times
Bishop Knestout has dispensed all the faithful in the Diocese of Richmond from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice. However, if you choose to attend a public Mass during the weekday or weekend, it is absolutely imperative that you adhere to the various guidelines and requirements. Please take the time to watch our video on how to safely return to Mass and participate in the liturgy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the parish office.

Christmas Poinsettias
We will be decorating the church with poinsettias for Christmas. If you would like to purchase a poinsettia in honor or in memory of someone, please submit a check payable to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in the amount of $16.00. Place the check along with your printed intention in an envelope and bring it by the parish office. The deadline for ordering is Thursday, December 17th.
