We are supporting a local family who has recently been through many tragedies and struggles. Collection bins will be available in school as well as at the back of church beginning today. We appreciate your prayers and support of the Daniel's Family. Penny War Flyer The Daniels Family The Daniels family consists of Cassie (Mom) Erik (Dad), our son Avery, who is forever 20 years old, Brady & Chase, our twin 8 year old boys and our 6 year old warrior princess Taylor. In the end of May 2021 my husband had a traumatic fall, 20 feet from a ladder resulting in severe facial crushing injuries. At the time he was working on our home with our oldest son Avery. Avery’s quick actions of calling 911 helped save his life. Erik has 4 facial plates and has completed two major surgeries and will require at least one more. Approximately 6 weeks later our 20 year old son Avery tragically passed away. Avery was a friend to all. He never judged and loved to help the underdog. He was and will continue to be his sibling’s idol. Brady, Chase and Taylor lost their best friend in July 2021. He was able to save many lives with the gift of organ donation. Just 5 months later in early Dec 2021, I noticed some concerning symptoms with our youngest daughter Taylor. Our world came crashing down once again when we received the devastating news that Taylor was diagnosed with Leukemia. For the past 15 months, Taylor has received chemotherapy to her spine, through her implanted chest port and is now on daily oral chemo. She has had to endure many unexpected hospital stays in the beginning due to various side effects of the harsh chemotherapy but is doing better now. She will likely have long term side effects but we are doing our best to remain positive and take it day by day. She will be done with chemotherapy on 2/17/2024 if all goes well. She will be followed for relapse for another 5 years post treatment until they deem her in survivorship. This is a total of 7.5 years. She has recently graduated from physical therapy and is looking forward to returning to gymnastics or exploring cheerleading. She is strong willed, independent and has the kindest soul ever. We believe she will do amazing things. Thank you so much for reading our story. Enrollment UpdatesEnrollment for our 23/24 school year started on February 1st. At approximately 11:45am, as students were coming down for lunch, a tornado warning was issued for the East Troy area. We immediately guided our students to our designated tornado shelter areas, which are the boys and girls locker rooms. These rooms are our designated tornado shelter rooms because they are located in the basement and have no windows. Our students remained sheltered in the locker rooms until 12:45pm. During this time, it was decided that lunch would be served in the locker rooms because we were unsure how long the warning would last. The students and staff did an excellent job of staying calm and following all shelter in place protocols. Thank you and I hope all of our families are safe as well! Mrs. Sagat I wanted to inform parents that at approximately 11:45am, we were alerted by a tornado warning and quickly responded by taking shelter in our basement lock rooms. All students are safe and currently reading books while we wait for the severe weather to pass. I will update you following the expiration of the tornado warning.
Thank you! Mrs. Sagat Safeguard Training at St. Peter's Parish

We hope he will join us again soon! St. Peter's Strategic Planning Committee Update In order to explain our role in our Parish and School, the St Peter’s Strategic Planning Committee developed the following vision statement: Together as a Catholic faith community, St. Peter's Parish and School strives to be the rock on which families build their foundation. By creating our vision statement, we hoped to share with our Parish and School our goals while also expressing it to the wider community. As part of our planning process, we are working to identify our strengths, opportunities and challenges that we currently have. The first tool we implemented to determine this are the surveys to our parishioners and council members. This will create a baseline from which to start accomplishing our visionary statement goals. The strategic planning committee has been meeting monthly since June and will continue to update you on progress. Committee members include: Ann Borges, Beverly Helbling, Rita Keepers, Darrel Markham, Fr. Mark Molling, Mary Nugent, Mary Rozmarynowski and Megan Sagat. We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout our soft lockdown this morning. We were updated by the District Resource Officer that they have identified the source of the threat and that all schools may resume normal daily procedures. Our soft lockdown has ended and students will be outside for lunch recess. We did not discuss this situation directly with students in any way this morning as we feel that unless necessary, that is a decision of the parents to make once at home. Thank you. Mrs. Sagat Dear Parents,
We were notified by ETSD that yesterday they received a threat of violence to students at Prairie View. We have been in contact with the District Resource Officer and at this time he does not believe there is any immediate threat to students. We have gone into a Soft Lockdown for this morning and will continue to reassess the situation. Soft Lockdown simply means that all students are to remain in the building. Morning recess will be held in the gym. Please know that we are only doing this as a precaution. Student safety is extremely important to us and we want to be sure that we are taking all necessary steps to maintain their safety. I will send a follow-up email around lunch time giving updated information on the lockdown. Mrs. Sagat Calling All Pumpkins! We are in need of about 50-60 pumpkins during the last two weeks of October. If you or someone you know has a few extra that you could donate to our students, we would greatly appreciate it! Please let the school office know if you are able to help.
Catholic Schools Walk Our Catholic Schools Walk will be taking place on Thursday, October 13th at 10am, following our School Mass. We hope that families and parishioners will join us in walking around the Village Square to show off our St. Peter's pride. This year the Archdiocese is once again matching donations up to $5000, so please consider supporting our school with a donation to our Schools Walk. I have attached a form below that can be used to make a donation and also includes information for donating online. 100% of the money raised comes back to our school, in addition to the matched funds from the Archdiocese. The form also includes information about donating to our St. Peter's Fall Festival.
