Aleasha Lewis ’18, Mercy Career and Technical High School

The James J. Harron Classroom Champion Award recognizes a high school junior or senior student for his or her notable achievements in the classroom or community. CORA exists to help children and families navigate obstacles – CORA’s Classroom Champion is chosen for having overcome a significant challenge with grace and poise.

CORA is pleased to name Aleasha Lewis as our 2018 Classroom Champion.

Aleasha Lewis, 2018 graduate of Mercy Career and Technical High School, is currently a freshman nursing major at La Salle University. During her years at Mercy, she shined because of her work ethic and positive outlook on life. Aleasha maintained good academic standing, held a part-time job, and decided that “God had a plan for her” when she gave birth to a beautiful daughter during her junior year of high school.

CORA supports children and families and helps them to overcome challenges and achieve success. Join us, as we salute Aleasha and the rest of our champions, and advance CORA’s mission to support families and strengthen communities.
